According to a report from the World Health Organization (2017), the results of human studies have not shown CBD to be addictive, though the number of human studies that have been conducted is limited and more research needs to be done.
Addiction recovery is individual. There will never be a straightforward answer to this question because, ultimately, it’s up to you. Some people feel that even using prescribed antidepressants is an affront on their recovery because it represents a continued reliance on drugs. Most people are less strict, however, and recognize that we rely on many substances throughout our lives. Because CBD does not produce euphoria, it’s unlikely to lead to misuse. As such, you should feel pretty safe using it for anxiety, depression, pain, and other issues you’re facing in recovery. In the end, it’s up to you.
